Cognitive Semiotic Behavior is that program. It takes sign-uses people have already learned, the actions those uses shape, and measures of how interpreters treat the signs in session.

The purpose is public. Better accounts of how learned signs work can inform education, cultural research, and any field that has to take human meaning seriously. The lab exists so that knowledge is measured, reviewable, and available — not locked in a private method.
