This is paid research, not volunteer work. You are paid for your time and travel. Sessions are built around real-world cultural material — activities closer to a game on a field than to a clipboard.
You take part in designed tasks while we record behavior and EEG. The work is part of Cognitive Semiotic Behavior research: how people treat culturally learned signs when those signs are actually in use. The flagship study is Decoding Cultural Behavior, under independent IRB review (IRB-FY2026-121).
What a session feels like: you show up, you play the field, you work with objects and situations drawn from everyday culture. The science sits in the design. You get a clear session, fair pay, and a part in research that has not been run this way before.
Multi-subject sessions begin spring 2027. Until then we are opening the path and refining the paradigm.
